llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch to near Newborough beach
Today, another nice day, not too hot, not too cold, but a warm gentle breeze; a few spots of rain at lunch time, but I didn't need get my coat out. About a 12.5 mile walk with not too much in the way of hills - great!
We were joined today by Alan's sister Celia and Joanne her daughter (Alan's niece). They enjoyed the day and Joanna may join us another day.

There is also a WI (women's institute) property which was the very first branch in the UK. We then drove a short distance to the Britannia bridge where we finished yesterday.
Shortly into the walk we came across a statue of Nelson which is there as he considered the Menai straits to be the most difficult stretch of water he has had to navigate.
Although this walk is supposed to be a coastal walk 'round Anglesey', there was quite a lot of incursions inland to get round a couple of large estates that fronted the coastline. There was also a bit of the usual stony beach walking. We had lunch overlooking Caernarfon castle, the view of which was slightly spoilt by a rather large block of flats next to it.
At the end of the walk we encountered some rather impressive stepping stones.
Back at the house, we had the usual tea and cake, then Pat and I did the food order from Sainsburys for the next week - didn't spend quite so much as last time! Pat's got a busy night as she is cooking Beef bourguinon with Steve W and Alan.
Not sure what game is planned for this evening, but I'm sure Steve W will get us organised.
Yesterday Carol and Phil found a huge amount of wild garlic!
